Thoughts Had While Riding [From BA 43-200]
"Bikes come in all sizes, shapes, degrees of shininess, colors, types, widths, and heights. Some have tassels and some are plain-looking with downtube shifters. And we love all of them, regardless."

➳ Keep your head up.
➳ If you look at the rock, you will hit the rock.
➳ Sometimes you get a headwind and sometimes you get a tailwind. Let the headwind remind you to slow down and enjoy what’s around you. Let the tailwind remind you that sometimes it feels nice to get a little help.
➳ Cyclists are sometimes pedestrians. Pedestrians are sometimes car drivers. Car drivers are sometimes cyclists.
➳ There will be days when it’s mostly a slog.
➳ In time, for every long uphill, there will be an equal, but opposite, and presumably far more delightful, downhill (hopefully).
➳ Say hello to your fellow travelers.
➳ Spandex has its place (sometimes...maybe).
➳ You might have a lot in common with someone with whom you thought you shared nothing. You might have only a little in common with someone with whom you thought you shared every perspective.
➳ You will get there.
➳ It’s usually worth it.
➳ Locks keep honest people honest.
➳ Take good care of the things that take good care of you.
➳ You have to lube every once in awhile.
➳ Bikes come in all sizes, shapes, degrees of shininess, colors, types, widths, and heights. Some have tassels and some are plain-looking with downtube shifters. And we love all of them, regardless.
➳ There will be moments when you’ll yip, howl, or holler, as if you were seven. This is good.
➳ It’s far more difficult to create momentum than it is to keep it.
➳ Observe the rules. Or, at the very least, know the rules, so that you’re aware of when you’re breaking them.
➳ Keep pedaling, but know when to coast.
➳ Your body’s ability to move you is delightful, simple as that.
